Vilnius Spring Festival invites you to an exceptional evening with world-class ambassadors of the new Nordic sound – Dreamers’ Circus.

From a spontaneous late-night jam session in Copenhagen to major stages across Europe, North America, and Japan, the trio has grown into one of the most innovative and internationally acclaimed ensembles in Nordic folk and traditional music. Their genre-defying sound blends deeply rooted Nordic melodies with the lyricism of classical music, the pulse of jazz, and the energy of contemporary expression.

The trio features Nikolaj Busk (piano, accordion), Rune Tonsgaard Sørensen (violin), and Ale Carr (cittern). Each musician brings a distinct musical background – from traditional folk to classical performance and jazz improvisation – which together form a captivating, melodically rich and precisely crafted musical universe.

Over seven albums, Dreamers’ Circus have established themselves as one of Denmark’s leading ensembles, honoured by the Danish Arts Foundation as a “Special Ensemble.” Their latest album, Handed On, reflects on musical heritage and the art of passing traditions from one generation to the next.

The name Dreamers’ Circus hints at imagination, daring, and craftsmanship – qualities that define their live performances, where precision meets spontaneity and playful joy. Audiences are drawn into a vibrant musical journey where tradition feels alive and strikingly contemporary.
